Autumn and Jesse were originally going to be married this May but decided to up their wedding date to January this year. Unfortunately, since Autumn was finishing up school out of state, the scheduling was a bit complicated. This meant we weren’t able to get their engagement session done before their wedding. So instead, these are, I guess, technically six-month anniversary photos!
Now that Autumn has finished up school and moved to ND to be with Jesse; these two have made the most of their summer off hiking tons of state and national parks. Their love for nature made the North Unit of Theodore National Park a perfect setting for their photoshoot! We had an excellent evening inside the park, even with a bit of wind and some mosquitos, because, let’s be honest, it’s not North Dakota without wind!
I joked with Autumn and Jesse that we would be heading up to the road to one of our last stops, and it would be a bit of a drive unless I saw beautiful light and in which case I would probably pull off on the side of the road. Not 100 yards later, we came around the bend and saw the field in front of us was filled with bison. So naturally, we pulled off and got out and snapped photos ( from a very safe distance) with the bison on the other side of the creek. Pretty sure this ended up being Jesse’s favorite photos of the night!
