Brooke and Joe met online after Brooke moved to North Dakota from Alabama for work. The two have settled down in Watford City. When we talked about where they wanted to have their engagement session, Brooke knew immediately that they wanted to have their session at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park North Unit the spot where Joe proposed.

We had the park almost to ourselves as we traveled into the park, stopping wherever the light looked the best. I was surprised just how fast the park greened up following the wildfires that had blazed through the park earlier this spring. Brooke did a fantastic job picking out outfits I loved the movement in her dress!

I absolutely love engagement sessions with my wedding couples. It’s a chance for us to break the ice before the wedding. It’s also the time where couples learn to pose and become comfortable in front of the camera. Check out some of my very favorite images!
