So I thought I knew where I was going, turns out I did not know where the Sundheim Bridge was east of Fairview, MT. After a quick call to Lexi and Dalton, they got me in the right direction. Lexi choose this spot because this is where Dalton proposed to her last summer. If you have never been to the bridge I defiantly suggest checking it out. The and tunnel on the other side were built in 1913. The tunnel is actually the only tunnel in North Dakota and was built for the Great Northern Railroad’s plan to create a second mainline known as the Eastern Montana Railway, which was never completed.
The hand-dug tunnel is 1,456 feet long and pretty darn dark. I made Dalton promise that we would make it out the other side alive. Aside from being scared by some pigeons, we made it through the tunnel just fine. This was a beautiful spot for an engagement session. Lexi’s blush pink dress was absolutely stunning on her and paired so well with the lush green grass.
Lexi and Dalton are getting married this fall, and I can not wait for their backyard wedding at Dalton’s parent’s house. Congratulations guys on your engagement see you in October!
