I have kinda become a bit of a bookworm over the past few years. I have dove headfirst into the personal development deep end and I’m totally okay with it. Today I’m sharing a bit of a round-up of some of the books I’ve read and re-read over the years that have impacted my life and my business.
Most of these books I have listened to on Audible. There is no way I have time to sit down and read all of these books in paper format. I love that audible keeps my entire library in my back pocket! As you can see there is a pretty big array of subjects here, from parenting to money mindset, to habit-forming.
This transformative book dives into the concept of “Upper Limit Problems,” which are the self-imposed ceilings that hinder us from realizing our full potential. Hendricks offers practical advice to break through these barriers and make that “big leap” into a life of abundance and fulfillment.
In “Cultivate,” Lara Casey encourages readers to embrace imperfections and focus on what truly matters. She introduces the concept of “cultivating” a life full of intention, rather than striving for the impossible feat of perfection. With personal anecdotes and actionable steps, Casey makes a compelling case for leading a life that’s deeply rooted in values.
“Big Magic” is all about unlocking your creativity. Elizabeth Gilbert explores the mysterious and magical nature of inspiration, encouraging readers to pursue a creative life without the burden of perfectionism or fear. Whether you’re an artist, writer, or anyone looking to infuse more creativity into your life, this book is a must-read.
Based on years of research, Brené Brown argues that vulnerability is not a weakness but a source of strength. “Daring Greatly” teaches us to embrace vulnerability and imperfection, to live wholeheartedly, and to courageously engage in our lives. It’s a call to drop the armor and open ourselves up to creativity, connection, and joy.
Simon Sinek examines the importance of knowing your “Why”—the purpose that inspires you to do what you do. He argues that individuals and organizations that understand their “Why” are more successful and better able to inspire others. Using examples from business to politics, Sinek shows how the power of “Why” can make or break an endeavor.
This book offers a six-week program aimed at young adults to get their financial life in order. From investing to budgeting and negotiating, Ramit Sethi covers it all in an easy-to-understand manner, demystifying the complexities around personal finance. It’s a practical guide to mastering your money.
Jen Sincero provides a motivational and often humorous guide to breaking down financial barriers. She offers actionable advice on how to transform your mindset about money, identify roadblocks, and achieve financial success. It’s a self-help book with a focus on helping you get rich by unlocking your earning potential.
Dana White addresses the everyday struggles of home management and offers realistic solutions. Aimed at those who feel overwhelmed by housework, White shares actionable tips on how to maintain your home in a state that’s “good enough” rather than aiming for perfection. It’s a breath of fresh air for anyone who’s ever felt defeated by a messy home.
In a world that’s constantly changing, personal development isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity. Whether you’re looking to break through self-imposed limitations, cultivate a life that aligns with your values, or even just manage your home and finances better, there’s a book on this list for you. Each of these titles offers a unique perspective, actionable advice, and the motivation you need to take the next brave step in your personal or entrepreneurial journey.
From mastering your mindset with “You Are a Badass at Making Money,” to understanding the power of vulnerability with “Daring Greatly,” these books are more than just a good read. They’re your toolkit for building a better, more fulfilling life. So pick one up, dive in, and let your own transformation begin.
