Jordan and Darian met online like so many couples these days. When I was speaking with Jordan about where she would like to have their engagement photos taken she asked if I would be willing to travel to the International Peace Gardens north of Dunseith, ND. The International Peace Gardens was the location of their first date and first kiss! Jordan was working at the international music camp and wasn’t really supposed to leave campus so these two walked through the garden before coming up to the mile marker that separates the United States and Canada where they shared their first kiss.

These two will be tieing the knot in a little under two months in Minot, and I’m pretty stoked about their first dance! Darian has dabbled his toes in a few different dance disciplines including ballroom dancing. It was so much fun watching these two dance in the open grassy area as the sunlight poured in.

Their proposal story was so cute too! Originally Darian had a super cute idea that included some props that paid tribute to their pups, he had planned on asking her before they both flew home to see their families for Christmas but the props didn’t come in on time. So as Jordan got ready to walk into the TSA checkpoint in the Minot airport Darian asked her if she had forgotten something. Jordan turned back to find Darian on one knee. She said yes and flew off to see her family on the east coast for Christmas before meeting up with Darian after Christmas a few days later.

Please join me in congratulating these two on their engagement!
