It can be so tricky to schedule hair and makeup for the day of a wedding. When working with a skilled hair and makeup artist you should just be able to tell them what time you need to be finished by and let them figure out a good start time, and generally, this works great. But I do have one little tip for brides out there, and that is to not wait to be the last one to get your hair and makeup done. 

While it can sound like a good idea to wait since you could sleep in a bit or that your hair and makeup would look fresher, often this isn’t something you need to worry about at all. 

Sometimes things run late, either a bridesmaid wants something changed or everyone is just having a great time talking and ends up slowing down the hair and makeup artist. 

If the hair and makeup artist needs to rush to get someone finished it’s not the bride who should be rushed through. This is also super important if you are doing a first look. We can always do a first look without a bridesmaid but never without a bride!
