Let’s say you started building a list and people are on it, but you’re feeling stuck on what to send them. I’ve got you covered! Today I’m sharing 7 things you can send your email newsletter list when your feeling stuck!
have you photographed some session lately? did you create a beautiful bridal bouquet for a wedding last weekend? Don’t get hung up on the word portfolio- if you created something and can show it off share it! Maybe you’re a wedding decorator highlight the latest wedding. Do you create wreaths for your etsy shop? Showcase how a custom-styled their new wreath.
Did you share an easy meal for school nights on your blog this fall? (send it my way), but also send that to your email list! Don’t just post your blog post to facebook one time and expect it to be seen by everyone. It’s so easy to get stuck in the trap of thinking you can only share something once. Remember that little statistic at the beginning of this post- less than 6% of your followers see your posts on social media. Don’t be afraid to share it on email. You see your posts the most but most of your audience doesn’t!
Own a clothing boutique? how about sharing some styling tips like how to mix patterns. Are you a photographer, share with your email list how to care for their new album or the difference between regular glass and anti-reflective glass is when it comes to framed prints. Do you own a flower shop? You could share how to get the most out of your flowers by trimming stems, or how customers can dry their flowers.
Have you been up to anything neat lately? Share with your email list! Maybe you took a trip, or had a baby, or joined a book club. If you run any type of a personal brand, this is a great opportunity to share what you have been up to! Think about linking to recent social media posts where you shared more about what all you have been up to!
Have a sale starting next week? Announce it to your email list first, get them excited! They signed up to know things first so deliver on that promise!
If you are in the creation stage of a new product or collection, don’t be afraid to drop some bread crumbs to your email list! By talking about the process you can build anticipation! This can start to warm up your audience so they are ready to buy when your product launches!

Don’t be afraid to just show up with some encouragement and inspiration. It could be a quote your audience could share on social, or a story about how you overcame something in your business. People don’t love being sold to 100% of the time. Take some time to add value and joy to someone’s day, without expecting anything else in return.
