As the sun began to fade across the sky of Williams County, and the verdant greens of the golf course were replaced by the soft glow of twilight, a unique love story was being written. It’s not every day you stumble upon a couple like Alison and Eric, whose romance began amid the tranquility of hushed conversations and the subtle sound of golf clubs hitting balls.

A few years ago, Alison was diligently working during the summer at a golf course, a place that unknowingly was about to become the backdrop of her future love story. Within this vibrant community, a group of friends, including Alison and Eric, would often gather. Once the golf course had closed for the evening, this tight-knit group would commence their own round of glow ball under the luminescent moonlight.

As fate would have it, Alison became more drawn to Eric. The moments of shared laughter, stolen glances, and bonding over golf all accumulated into something that couldn’t be ignored. So, in a clever twist of fate, Alison made sure she and Eric became golf cart buddies. As the saying goes, love always finds a way, and so it did. Eric eventually caught on to Alison’s feelings, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Fast-forward to today, Alison and Eric have been happily engaged since early June, planning their dream wedding for June 2024. The venue? A charming country church in Williams County just north of Williston, ND. Yet, their family already has a new member – a 14-week-old Goldendoodle puppy, Percy. Percy, who was absolutely thrilled about the photo shoot, donned a ‘Save the Date’ bandana, showing off her excitement for her parents’ big day.

Our engagement session had a minor hiccup, though. The ever-impending threat of rain loomed over our plans the morning of the engagement session. However, every cloud, indeed, has a silver lining. Alison’s father, a farmer, welcomed the rainfall with open arms, as the area had been suffering a dry spell recently. So, despite the weather, love was definitely in the air.

We commenced our photoshoot at Alison’s family farm, which lent a rustic charm to their pictures, symbolizing the deep roots of their relationship. A short drive later, a mile down the road, we found ourselves in Paradise Valley. As the name suggests, it was a slice of heaven on earth. There, we captured some of my favorite images of the session. The lighting, the ambiance, and, most importantly, the palpable love between Alison and Eric made the pictures breathtakingly beautiful with Bull Butte in the background.

From golf course buddies to soulmates, the journey of Alison and Eric is truly one of a kind. Their engagement session was a testament to their unique bond – a love that’s as radiant as the glow balls they played with when they first met and as timeless as the Paradise Valley, where we captured their love story. As they gear up for their 2024 wedding, one thing is sure – this is just the beginning of their beautiful journey together.
