Last summer, I had the incredible joy of photographing Monica and Dylan’s baseball-themed wedding in Minot, ND. This spring, I was thrilled when Monica’s mom, Cathy, reached out to me with another exciting opportunity. She wanted me to photograph a proposal for Monica’s sister, Grace. Grace, who was also a bridesmaid at Monica’s wedding, and her boyfriend, Cody, were visiting from Omaha, NE. We set the perfect surprise at the Minot Roosevelt Zoo gazebo just as the sun was setting.

On the big day, I found a perfect hiding spot in the bushes near the gazebo, ready to capture the moment. After a romantic stroll through the park, Grace and Cody arrived back at the gazebo. Cody got down on one knee and proposed with Grace’s grandmother’s ring. Though it was a bit small for her ring finger, it fit her pinky perfectly. The scene was magical, made even more special with Grace’s family, including Monica and Dylan, there to celebrate her joyous “yes.”

After the proposal, we took full advantage of the beautiful sunset to take some stunning photos of Grace and Cody. We also took some time to capture heartfelt family photos, preserving this special day forever.
