Being able to photograph my sister’s engagement was truly a wonderful and special experience. It also can mean added pressure haha! Shelby and Kevin have been together for years, I think everyone first reaction to the news of their engagement was ‘about time!’ But in all honesty, I am completely thrilled for them! 

We started out their session in their backyard just outside of Tioga, ND before heading down to their cabin on Little Beaver Bay along the lake Sacagawea.  I love how this area looks just like the North Dakota Badlands! Seriously talking to some of my upcoming family sessions about taking the quick drive down Hwy 1804 to shoot their sessions there! 

I absolutely loved the outfits Shelby choose for the session.  Kevin built his own home, and they both love the earthy fall colors, so these outfits are simply perfect for them! Another part of this engagement session I love is Shelby’s ring.  It belonged to our grandmother who passed away a couple of years ago. 

This session was a lot of fun, and we even got a few awesome images of Kevin’s side by side, and one of his many pickups.  If you have talked to Kevin any amount of time you will inevitably hear about one of his recent pickup projects, so of course we had to take one of the Chevys for photos!
