I haven’t done much of an update on here in a bit so here it is. Summer is finally here and things are getting busy around the Weisz household. Justin went back to work on June 1, 2018. He was originally set to go back to work the beginning of May but decided he needed more time. We celebrated his 30th birthday a couple weeks ago! Go wish him a happy birthday!!
Unfortunately, both the kids and Justin caught a cold the end of May, after a round of antibiotics they are finally on the mend!
Weisz Country Greenhouse, which my mother in law Debbie runs closed for the season yesterday. I taught a few fairy garden classes in May which were pretty fun!
I have also been teaching some intro to photography classes at Red Moose Coffee Hus in Tioga, ND. This class is designed to help you get out of auto mode, and start learning how your camera works! I am planning on holding a few more classes throughout the summer so stay tuned for that!
Right after we got home from Justin’s surgeries in February, Justin’s aunt Bonnie was in a pretty bad car accident which left her with a pretty bad brain injury. She was extremely lucky to make it out alive! She has been down in Colorado at the Craig Hospital in Colorado. About a week ago Debbie and Selmer hit the road to Colorado to bring Bonnie home. She was gone for about a week to drive down and get her and bring her home.
In the meantime, I helped out at the greenhouse. Skyler had her preschool graduation the beginning of May. I can’t believe she is going to be in kindergarten this fall!!
My sister FINALLY got engaged! I am so happy for her and Kevin!
Grayson started walking about a couple of weeks ago! And he is not slowing down anytime soon! He also has fallen in love with anything that has a motor, typical boy! He is loving the side by side! Pretty sure he is going to figure out how to start it by himself by the end of the summer!
Things are moving pretty slow on the new house, hopefully, after this week I’ll be able to get some work done on it!! (We are moving into Justin’s grandma’s house just across the yard!)
We are finally finding our new normal this summer.
Justin returning to work is a pretty big step. Sky is going to play tball this summer and we are excited for the pool to open! She also got a new 4wheeler this spring and has had a blast running around the farm on it! The poor dog just barely fits on the back of her little one!
A couple of weeks ago I spoke at First Lutherans old fashion ladies aide. Such a wonderful experience! Like I said there, I am really hopeful that this is the end of this chapter when it comes to Justin’s surgeries and infections. I’m ready to see what the rest of the story has in store for our family.
Last night after the Greenhouse closed, Skyler and Justin were just playing catch with her new mitt. The sun was just sinking into the start of a beautiful sunset. And Grayson and I were throwing the ball for the dog, ???? it was definitely one of those moments where I just had to take a step back and be so entirely thankful that we made it to this point!
6 months ago we were sitting in the ICU at Mayo Clinic. I am so thankful to be able to watch sky learn how to play catch with her dad!
So this morning I and sitting down with my planner, a candle, and some flowers to plan out the weekend and next week! Next week will be a bit crazy, I’m photographing all the summer baseball kids in #tiogand but after the last two years, this is the kind of crazy I’ve been craving!
Thank you to everyone who has kept our family in your prayers! We are so grateful!
After being a professional photographer for over 5 years, you would think that I would grow weary of weddings, right?! The reality is, I have seen and photographed it all and
the more that I shoot, the more that I fall in love with this job! The joy, the excitement, the feminine details, the tears, the dances with daddy, the portraits that take your breath away…. I love it all. Even after 5 years, I still can’t get over the fact that I have been trusted with preserving over 50 weddings!! I don’t take my job lightly.
From 2016-2018 I stood by my husband, Justin, as he battled an infection after the placement of a new heart valve. He had the valve replaced 3 times, and just recently had his sternum removed after the infection took hold in his bone. Throughout the entire journey, we clung to God and each other. Having someone to stand by your side through thick and thin is one of the best things in life. I am so honored that I get to document couples as they stand before God, their family, and friends, and vow to stand side by side.
Before every wedding day begins I sit in the car and I pray for the couple, their families and for the ability to capture my couple’s celebration with excellence and creativity! Besides raising our daughter, Skyler, and son Grayson photographing weddings is truly one of the most rewarding parts of my life! The friendships and experiences that are created with my Weisz Couples last far beyond the wedding day and I believe that’s how it should be! I am excited for you to keep scrolling to learn more about how being a Weisz Bride isn’t your typical photography experience; it’s so much more!
