Julia and Tommy got married on the Lewis and Clark Riverboat on the Missouri River between Bismarck, and Mandan, ND at sunset. Wedding guests boarded the boat at 7:40 pm and the two said I do as the sun sank into the trees west of the river.
Julia and Tommy’s wedding had so many unique details to the day, including the officiant who also married Tommy’s mom Cindy, and his late father Perry who though wasn’t at the day in body, was still by Tommy’s side on his custom cuff links that featured a photo of his dad.
Julia wore custom white high tops with her new last name stitched into the heel, and Tommy gifted canes to all his groomsmen which of course also had swords canceled inside them! After Tommy and Julia were officially pronounced husband and wife, and Tommy finally got to kiss his bride, Tommy played amazing grace on his bagpipes before the two headed back down the aisle. Guests enjoyed the rest of the cruise before the boat docked for the remainder of the night.
At the dock, the Up North food truck was waiting for guests with the most delicious street tacos I’ve had in a long time. Everyone dug in after we welcomed the couple off the board with sparklers! These two surrounded themselves with the people who love them the most, and I am so honored to have been able to witness these two tie the knot. Listening to all their friends and family speak on the back of the riverboat about how these two were just made for each other I couldn’t help but agree!
Congratulations guys! I am so happy for you!
