Over the 4th of July, we took off on a last-minute trip to Bozeman, MT. We had so much fun despite the fact that there was a lot of driving and a lot of traffic. We pulled into town on the 4th and checked into our hotel before grabbing some food before the big fireworks display put on by the Bozeman, Lion’s Club. This was an amazing show and definitely one to check out if you’re in the area!
The next day we wandered around Bozeman and checked out the Montana Grizzly Encounter. It was kinda neat, not sure we would go again Bear Country in the black hills certainly had more to see! Next, we headed up to Highlite National Park where we went on about a one-mile hike up to Palisade Falls. On the way back to the hotel we stopped for supper at Red Tractor Pizza, mainly so Grayson could sit on the tractor. That boy sure does love his tractors!
The next day we braved Yellowstone National Park on one of the busiest weekends of the year. We saw elk, buffalo, and a grizzly, along with many waterfalls. We grabbed an ice cream before heading out to see Old Faithful and left the park through the north exit.
The next morning we headed over to Big Boy’s Toys to pick up a side by side we rented and hauled it out to Pipestone. The trails were a lot of fun and we only had to wench ourselves out once! I did make Justin turn around one time when the hill was straight down and full of water washouts. We stopped for a picnic up at a lake before heading back down the mountain.
