I first met Kristina and Cole back at their engagement session in January. The first thing I noticed about them as a couple was Coles hight. Which shouldn’t have surprised me considering he was playing basketball for Williston State College. But as we chatted, and ordered coffee something else was extremely obvious. These two were meant to be together. The way she looks up and him with this genuine loving twinkle in her eye. The way they rest their foreheads together as they pray together, you can tell there is just something special!
This was reinforced as I listened to Brian deliver the message during their ceremony. He had asked their bridal party to describe Kristina and Cole in one word. Words they used included, genuine, honest, leader, colorful, and swagger! I think they hit the nail on the head with it too! During the dinner, they asked members of the bridal party to stand up and share a memory of Kristina and Cole. Their friends and family shared about how protective of a brother Cole was, how caring of a friend Kristina was. They shared the honest truth of their ups and downs as a couple and how this network of friends supported them with ice cream and video games.
Kristina’s grandpa sang at both the ceremony and reception. His song at the reception had a line in it that states “somethings are meant to be…”
Camp UMM was a beautiful backdrop to this beautiful marriage. The champagne bridesmaids dresses, made the red roses, white renauculase, and eucalyptus pop! I loved how natural and organic every aspect of the day had to it. Down the isle log stumps were used as backdrops to beautiful sayings and verses about love. each one different, but all were surrounded by fairy lights. Russain olive branches were used throughout the ceremony decor, along with lambs ear.
I loved the arbor they created over the altar to break up the wood tones on the stage! Speaking of the stage, the stars and stage are perfect for large bridal parties, if you’re looking for a venue! When you included Cole and Kristina, there was a total of 20 people in their bridal party!
I think if I had to choose a favorite part of the day, it would be tough to decide between sunset photos and the prayer that Cole and Kristina’s family prayed over them during the ceremony. I was definitely ugly crying behind my camera.
Kristina and Cole, it was such an honor to photograph your wedding. I am so grateful to have been part of such a love filled wedding day! Congratulations, and safe travels in New Zealand for your honeymoon!
I absolutely loved the book Cole gave Kristina! Not a single dry eye as these families prayed over the new Mr and Mrs!
It was such an emotionally joyful day for so many! Grandpa sang at both the ceremony and the reception!
