Wedding Wednesday

I was the weirdo who tried on her dress like every evening because I was so excited!! However, my dress was really easy to put on. I could put it on by MYSELF! It had one simple ZIP in the back and that’s it! However, there are a lot of dresses that require much more than just a simple ZIP! These are the dresses that I’m referring to today in this post!

If you happen to be a bride who has a more complicated dress, please pay attention to this post because it could save you a lot of stress on the big day!! You need to make time to try on your dress with either your mom or maid of honor… someone who will be with you when you’re getting dressed. So often, there are brides who are getting in their dress and no one knows how to lace up the back or how high the waist is supposed to be. It can cause a little panic when the bridesmaids lace up the dress and then everyone realizes that the dress is off-centered and/or not tight enough. When you have to re-lace the dress, this can easily throw off your schedule and then that can cause extra stress as well. Now, when this happens with our brides, we tell them it’s totally fine! “Don’t worry! We’ll make up that time!!” … And we always do! However, if I can save my future brides from that panicked feeling… I want to!! So my best advice is to plan a time to PRACTICE putting on your DRESS!!! Try it on with your shoes to make sure the height is what you like. Try it with your undergarments to make sure it fits well and nothing shows and last but not least, try sitting to make sure it’s possible!! I hope this is helpful!! Are you a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding, share with your bestie!

Getting ready the morning of your wedding! How to get awesome wedding photos

Meet Chelsy

After being a professional photographer for over 5 years, you would think that I would grow weary of weddings, right?! The reality is, I have seen and photographed it all and

the more that I shoot, the more that I fall in love with this job! The joy, the excitement, the feminine details, the tears, the dances with daddy, the portraits that take your breath away…. I love it all. Even after 5 years, I still can’t get over the fact that I have been trusted with preserving over 50 weddings!! I don’t take my job lightly.

From 2016-2018 I stood by my husband, Justin, as he battled an infection after the placement of a new heart valve. He had the valve replaced 3 times, and just recently had his sternum removed after the infection took hold in his bone. Throughout the entire journey, we clung to God and each other. Having someone to stand by your side through thick and thin is one of the best things in life. I am so honored that I get to document couples as they stand before God, their family, and friends, and vow to stand side by side.

Before every wedding day begins I sit in the car and I pray for the couple, their families and for the ability to capture my couple’s celebration with excellence and creativity! Besides raising our daughter, Skyler, and son Grayson photographing weddings is truly one of the most rewarding parts of my life! The friendships and experiences that are created with my Weisz Couples last far beyond the wedding day and I believe that’s how it should be! I am excited for you to keep scrolling to learn more about how being a Weisz Bride isn’t your typical photography experience; it’s so much more!
