Alison and Eric’s wedding day was a picturesque celebration filled with love, laughter, and a touch of golf-themed charm. The couple first met on the golf course and beautifully incorporated nods to their shared passion throughout their special day. Alison wore a unique golf tee bracelet, and they had golf ball cupcakes. After the ceremony, they made a whimsical golf cart getaway. Every detail paid homage to their story.
The ceremony took place at the quaint West Prairie Church near Williston, ND. Friends and family packed the non-air-conditioned church to the gills. Alison, ever the prepared bride, ensured custom water bottles were available for guests, a thoughtful touch that was much appreciated.
“We know it’s hot, have a drink while we tie the knot!”

Alison and Eric had a wedding party of 16. The bridesmaids dazzled in plum purple sequin dresses, Alison’s favorite color. The wedding decor featured a palette of purple, cream, and vibrant greens, creating a fresh and elegant atmosphere. One of the most touching elements was a table displaying wedding photos from older generations, connecting their love story to those of their families.
The reception took place at the Grand Hotel in Williston. They accommodated over 350 guests. Engagement session photos of Alison and Eric decorated the ceremony and reception spaces, adding a personal and intimate touch. The food was a highlight, but the cupcakes and cake pops stole the show.
The reception featured cute little drink covers indicating to servers that guests were on the dance floor. This ensured that no one lost their drink while dancing the night away. The table number cards featured trivia about the couple. I’m proud to say I only got three questions wrong! A photo booth with a sparkly purple backdrop was a hit, staying busy all night long.
The DJ was phenomenal, keeping the party lively despite the looming threat of a tornado. We moved up the time for our sunset photos due to the weather, and I’m so glad we did. The light and the clouds were breathtaking, capturing the essence of Alison and Eric’s love just before the storm rolled in.
As the storm hit with a crash, the drive home became less than ideal. However, it was worth every moment to be part of such a memorable and love-filled day. Working alongside videographer Ashley Sevre, we captured the beautiful moments between Alison and Eric, making their wedding day one for the books.
Your day was as extraordinary and unique as your love story. May your journey together be filled with as much joy and adventure as your wedding day.
